I have been on Zoloft for 3 months now and it is starting to work. I still feel overwhelmed when my kids get on my case about stuff and all. It is hard to deal with the everyday stress sometimes and it is hard to try to appear normal and happy to others.
My depression is due to the loss of my mom in 1998, when I was down I would call her and now I can’t do that and it hurts.

Hi, Cathy; welcome to the club! It’s good to hear
that the Zoloft is starting to work for you.
Sorry
about the loss of your Mom; a deep loss like that can
easily trigger a depressive episode (according to an
article in WebMD, which is in our links page).
I hear you loud and clear about when the kids act up,
its hard to deal with everything (I have 2 boys, 4 &
8; each knows the perfect button to push to set the
other off!…not to mention Mom & Dads buttons…).
What you said to Jackie, though, is so true; try HARD
to hang-in, and talk when it helps. If you see me
on-line, send me an instant message if you
want.
best wishes,
Rick
Rick thanks for the kind words.
It is time to take one’s life back from others all the time. I
have family on my case about stuff and a friend going
through a divorce and she clings to me all the time about
taking her places as she does not have a car right now.
It is hard to say enough, but I have reached the
point that for me I have to do that. I will chat with
you later…
Thanks Cathy
